Trading guide

How trading works

The trade flow is designed to move from discovery to proposal, shipment, confirmation and review without losing context.

Trade step 1

Discover matches

Open Trading or a collection’s Trading button to see collectors ranked by useful items, mutual value and items you can offer.

Trade step 2

Build proposal

Pick the items you want and the items you offer. Use filters, pagination and condition-aware quantities to keep proposals clean.

Trade step 3

Negotiate

The other collector can accept, decline or counter. Counter offers stay linked so both sides can understand the trade history.

Trade step 4

Ship or meet

For shipped trades, both users provide shipping details, add tracking when available, and mark their items as shipped.

Trade step 5

Confirm and review

When items arrive, submit the mandatory review and confirm the trade. Completed reviews appear on user profiles.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers

Is trading available now?

Yes. Trading is fully implemented for collection-based swaps. You can discover partners, build proposals, send offers, counter, accept, manage shipped trades, confirm receipt and leave reviews.

How does StickMarket find trade partners?

Trade partner pages compare your missing items with another collector’s tradeable duplicates, while also considering what you can offer back. You can filter by useful items, country and exact items.

What happens when a shipped trade is accepted?

Both collectors must share shipping details. If default shipping is enabled on both profiles, this step can be completed automatically. Users can then add tracking codes and mark items as shipped.

Are reviews required?

Yes. To confirm that received items arrived, the user must review the other collector for shipment time, package condition and communication. The overall review score is the average of those three ratings.

Can I message someone during a trade?

Yes. Friends can message each other, and active trade partners can message during an accepted trade even if they are not friends.
